Wittman & Lorton, P.C. & Preferred Title & Escrow, Inc.
Laef Lorton & Kris Tuttle
“Get comfortable being uncomfortable.”
They have been serving the community for 99 years!

Laef talked about his education background at ISU and then SIUE, how a high school teacher encouraged him to pursue becoming a lawyer, opening his own business at first, and then joining George “Butch”. Wittmans office.
He said Butch has been one of his biggest mentors.
Laef is very involved with the community and also makes time to be in the stands for his kids events.
He told the students that his best decision was moving back to Jerseyville to raise his family.

Kris attended UIC for undergrad and then went straight on to law school. She has worked in a wide variety of law so she has a great familiarity and understanding from her past experiences. She encouraged students to not be afraid to stick out and do something different.
Her mother went to law school when Kris was in middle school. Her mother wasn’t able to finish and that was something that helped pushed Kris to keep going.
She has been able to help people from all over with the biggest event in their life with her law degree.
Like Laef, you will also find Kris in the stands cheering on her kids.

Their office recently won the JCBA Business of the Year award and their prize was a video showcasing their business. If you haven’t seen the video yet, go to their page and check it out.
