FIELDON TEAM OUTING • Stop 3
TJ Horses & Tack • Part-Owner, Lisa Jones
• "The atmosphere at their establishment made me feel like I was in a hallmark movie."
• "I Liked how she mentioned doing something that you love, even if it doesn't bring in the most money."
• " I thought Lisa was very informative about how their business runs. I think she has an awesome job! I hope I get to do something I love like she does."
When you walk in TJ's you are greeted with Lisa's smiling face and the quintessential smell of leather. Lisa talked about how their business started in a small space on her dad's farm and has grown to where they are now. She mentioned how she used to have a full-time job. However, when her son was a toddler she realized she didn't want to miss so much of her kid's childhood. She then made the decision to leave her day job and focus on her family and running she and her husband's, Ted Jones, business.
They currently have colts and goats running around in the back. We could have stayed here all day petting the animals. Lisa is always very encouraging to the students and gives them her best piece of advice which is to do something you love.
If you are looking for unique Christmas gifts, look no further. It is worth the trip to check out the items they have in stock that you can't find anywhere else. They will have a booth at the COWBOY CHRISTMAS happening at the Grafton Legion on November 16th. See the flyer in our photos for all of the details.
Thank you for having us and sharing your words of wisdom.
